It is one of the largest companies in Spain. It is engaged in the processing and marketing of steel products. Incorporated in September 1986, the company has its registered head office in Jerez de los Caballeros (Badajoz). It is also one of the major actors of the Spanish steelmaking sector, with a capacity of almost 2.5 million tons of finished products. Its 2004 sales amounted to approximately 600 million euros. Its business activity is centered on the iron and steel sector. The company dedicates itself to the manufacture and transformation of galvanized and prewashed coils, welded tubes, structural bands and iron straps, and other steel products which are principally used for construction. Its factories are located in Extremadura, Madrid, Asturias and Paas Vasco. In 2005, it diversified its activities with the opening of a cement plant in Alconera (Badajoz), which produces more than a million tons of bulk cement.
